Half Elves are very rare hybrids that occur as a result of Elf's and Men mating. Anyone with Elf parentage(Sea, Wood, High) is considered Half Elf. On a whole Half Elves are a very small population in the Old World, although there are several small Half Elven settlements scattered nearby the Elven forest realms, and several neignborhoods in Marienburg. These communities exist as a stable race ( a Half Elf mating with a Half Elf produces a Half Elf ) and are grudgingly accepted by the neighboring human and Elf settlements. Half Elves are not totally accepted by Man or Elves, but can rise to considerable power and authority within either culture. There have always been rumours that many of the ruling houses of the empire ( including Sigmar himself )have Elven blood somewhere in their past.
